I'm Melinda Pye, and here’s my story.
I grew up in a home where food was everything, from planning meals to experimenting in the kitchen, it was always at the heart of daily life. I began my culinary journey as a baker’s apprentice at Haute Cakes Caffé in Costa Mesa, where I discovered a passion for creating beautifully crafted desserts. I then honed my skills in Newport’s top kitchens, including Wolfgang Puck and Aubergine on Lido Island, gaining hands-on experience in French-style pastries and fine dining techniques.
I later helped launch Pacific Whey Baking Company and embraced opportunities to learn the business side of food, including working with Whole Foods Market in Costa Mesa, where I also opened the flagship store and launched their coffee roasting program. Eventually, I owned and operated a French-style café in Belmont Shore, serving breakfast, lunch, and curated catering events, an experience that deepened my love for creating memorable meals and dining experiences for the community.
Today, I focus on Table Manners Meal Prep, bringing that expertise directly into your home. I craft wholesome, seasonal meals designed to nourish the body, delight the palate, and simplify family life. From menu planning to shopping, cooking, and cleanup, I handle every detail so you can enjoy fresh, organic, family-style meals — without the stress.
